Real Advice. Real Experience. Professor for a Day Delivers Again.

Hundreds of Nazarian College students received firsthand insight and advice from more than 30 top executives in the Los Angeles area during the college’s annual Professor for a Day program, held on Oct. 23 and 24.

Since 2009, this initiative has brought business leaders back into the classrooms where many of them once sat, giving students an opportunity to learn directly from professionals actively shaping industries. Alumni and friends of the college share stories of their professional journeys, provide insight into work experiences and offer job interview advice.

This year’s participants included prominent leaders such as Jon Georgio, president and CEO of Gothic Landscape, Harvey Bookstein, founding partner of Armanino LLP, Paul Jennings, principal of PCS Energy, Marc Wolf, partner and financial services industry leader of CohnReznick, Andrea Zoeckler, former COO and CFO of Epson America, and Wendy Greuel, executive in residence and strategic advisor for Nazarian College, among many others.

“Professor for a Day continues to be one of our most meaningful traditions,” says Chandra Subramaniam, dean of Nazarian College. “When students hear directly from alumni and industry leaders, it helps them see what’s possible and gives them guidance they can’t get from a textbook.”
