Fourth Annual Giving Day March 4th & 5th

CSUN’s Fourth Annual Giving Day is happening this week on March 4th and 5th, and it’s your chance to make a meaningful impact.

For 33 hours, beginning at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, and continuing through 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, our campus community will come together to support the programs, students, and initiatives that make CSUN extraordinary. Giving Day is all about expanding our reach, strengthening our reputation, and investing in the future we’re building together.

The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences has proudly been the event’s single-largest source of support, leading in both number of gifts and total dollars raised. With your enthusiasm and generosity, we are excited to continue that tradition of leadership and collective success.

Mark your calendar, spread the word, and join us early on March 4 when Giving Day goes live. Every gift, no matter the size, moves us forward and makes a difference for our students and our community.

College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Challenges

  1. The CSUN in DC internship Program Challenge
An anonymous donor has committed $10,000 to the CSUN in DC internship program, to inspire at least 10 other donors to support this program on Giving Day.
  2. The Zoraster Family Challenge for the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences
The Zoraster family has committed $20,000 to the Albert Zoraster Valley Pioneer Scholarship Endowment in the Department of History to help inspire 10 other donors to support the Department of History on Giving Day.
  3. The Milt and Debbie Valera Challenge for the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences
Loyal CSUN supporters Milt and Debbie Valera will generously unlock $3,000 to the top three funds in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences that raise the highest number of donors on Giving Day. First place will receive $1,500, second place will receive $1,000, third place will receive $500.

The results of the Valeras’ challenge will be ranked in real time on givingday.csun.edu, so users can check there to see which CSBS programs/departments occupy the standings until the challenge ends at 5pm on March 5.
