MEIS 100: Arabs and Muslims in the US Fall 2026

This class examines the histories and contemporary realities of Arabs and Muslims i n the United States. Course material will include histories o f Arab and Muslim migration t o the U.S. debates around how to racially classify them, patterns of political participation, media representation, Islam and hip-hop, contestations regarding gender and sexuality within these communities and more!
