DESCRIPTION:This event will be a screening of the documentary “Deaf President Now.” Deaf President Now is a documentary about the Deaf President Now movement of 1988\, when Gallaudet\, the first deaf college in the world\, located in Washington\, DC\, hired a woman by the name of Dr. Elizabeth Ann Zinser\, a hearing woman. A group of students then rallied and started the movement until she resigned\, and the first deaf president was finally elected\, Dr. I. King Jordan.
