SUMMARY:CSUN Cinematheque: Luìs Buñuel's "L' Age D'or" and "Simon of the Desert"
DESCRIPTION:This first event in CSUN Cinematheque’s Spring 2025 series “Sacred and Profane: The Surreal Cinema of Luìs Buñuel” presents free screenings of two of the director’s satirical comedies\, L’ Age D’or (1930)\, a sendup of societal sexual mores co-written with Salvador Dalí\, and Simon of the Desert (1965)\, a loose take on the life of a 5th century Syrian saint. Cinematheque screenings are held Wednesdays weekly at the Armer Screening Room in Manzanita Hall\, and admission is free to all\, no RSVP required.
