DESCRIPTION:Network\, Innovate and Collaborate\nRSVP to this Event \nWildfires continue to shape the landscapes and communities of Southern California. This interactive gathering will bring together wildfire leaders\, agencies\, community partners\, and grassroots advocates to share their success stories and challenges for establishing wildfire resilience. We are seeking the best practices of our participants to share with others and to build community. \nPurpose:\nThe event will create a dynamic space to celebrate wildfire resilience success stories\, foster cross-sector networking\, and explore innovative models for prevention and preparedness. Participants will leave with new connections\, practical strategies\, and momentum to advance a regional community of practice for wildfire resilience. \nHighlights Include:\n\nLightning Rounds of Success Stories & Challenges – Hear rapid-fire spotlights from Firewise leaders\, fire agencies\, nonprofits\, and community partners.\nInteractive Breakouts: “Shared Risk\, Shared Solutions” – Small groups dive into mutual threat zones\, Firewise expansion\, and trust-building strategies.\nNetworking Games & Commitment Wall – Build relationships and share personal commitments to resilience.\nCo-Creating a Regional Wildfire Model – Collaboratively draft guiding pillars to shape Ventura County’s wildfire-smart future.\n\nSpecial Guests: \n\nDean Yan Searcy\, Dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at CSUN\nJoseph Morelli\, Fire Marshal\, Fire Prevention Bureau\, Ventura County Fire Department\n\nWho Should Attend: \n\nFire agencies (CAL FIRE\, Ventura County Fire\, local fire departments)\nFirewise & Fire Safe community leaders\nNonprofits and watershed/environmental groups\nLocal and state government representatives\nAcademic and research institutions\nInsurance and utility partners\nCommunity leaders and volunteers\nCollege Students interested in Sustainability\n\nTogether\, we will surface successes\, identify shared challenges\, and build the foundations of a stronger\, more connected wildfire resilience network. \n\nDate:\nDecember 8\, 2025 \nTime:\n8:30AM to 2:00PM \nLocation:\nVentura County Fire Department Headquarters\n2400 Conejo Spectrum Street\nThousand Oaks\, CA 91320 \n🍴 Food will be provided \n\nRSVP to this Event
