DESCRIPTION:In honor of UNESCO International Day of the Book and Poetry Month\, the CSUN University Library and Friends of the Library are excited to invite our community to “Books Aloud: A World Book Day Celebration.” Books Aloud will be a community gathering with live readings and discussion in the Gohstand Leisure Reading Room (Library\, 2nd Floor\, west wing). \nBring a (print) book and share your favorite passage with other book-lovers! Readers will get 3 to 5 minutes to read to accommodate all participants\, so please limit your selection to 1-2 poems or 1-4 pages of text. Please pick a passage that has made a difference in your life. \nThe event is open to all\, light refreshments will be served. \nPlease RSVP at https://library.csun.edu/events/books-aloud. \nBecause time is limited\, we cannot guarantee a spot for every participant who signs up to read.
