Campus Holiday Shutdown (December 25th to January 1st)
Good morning, Principal Investigators:
I want to share an important update from TUC Human Resources regarding the upcoming campus holiday shutdown. This information was sent to all TUC staff, however, only full-time benefited employees are eligible for paid holiday.
Please also note that January 2, 2025 at 10:00AM is the due date for submitting and approving December 31st pay period eTime/timesheets. Please encourage your staff to enter hours and exception times by the end of the day on December 31st.
Please be advised that the University Corporation will observe the same holiday shutdown as the campus. As you are aware, the CSUN campus will be closed from Wednesday, December 25, 2024 through Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
Below is the holiday shutdown schedule for full-time benefited employees:
December 25 | Paid holiday |
December 26 | Paid holiday |
December 27 | Paid holiday |
December 30 | Paid holiday |
December 31 | *Campus closed |
January 1 | Paid holiday |
* Benefited employees can choose one of the following options to cover the campus closure on December 31.
- Personal holiday if available
- Vacation time if available
- Time off with no pay
The cutoff for submitting December 31 payroll timesheets is 10:00 am on Thursday, January 2nd. We strongly encourage all staff to enter hours and exception times by the end of the day on December 31st.
