DESCRIPTION:Location: Online via Zoom; Connection details provided upon registration\n\nFacilitated By:\nJaycob Abrogast\, Chico State \nJaycob Arbogast\, CFP®\, is the Director of the Center for Excellence in Finance at California State University\, Chico. He leads Chico State’s Financial Wellness Clinic\, which provides pro-bono financial guidance while creating supervised experiential learning opportunities for finance and financial planning students. He created and registered Chico State’s Financial Planning Certificate\, helped develop one of the nation’s few online self-paced CFP Board Registered Programs\, and advises Chico Creek Capital\, the university’s Student Managed Investment Fund. His work has secured more than $500\,000 in grant funding and helped expand financial wellness programming across multiple CSU campuses. His work focuses on financial wellness\, student support\, financial planning education\, applied learning\, and scalable program development in higher education. \nDescription:\nAn institutional ecosystem consists of interconnected people\, processes\, and systems that fundamentally shape students’ college pathways and success. This session explores how students\, staff\, and faculty experience and influence that ecosystem in their daily work. Integrating student-led research with staff and faculty insights\, we surface patterns of tension\, disconnect\, and alignment. DESCRIPTION:Location: Online via Zoom; Connection details provided upon registration\n\nFacilitated By:\nDr. Carolyn O’Keefe\, CSU Office of the Chancellor \nDr. Carolyn O’Keefe is the CSU Systemwide Director for Student Wellness and Basic Needs. Dr. O’Keefe is a licensed clinical psychologist and worked for many years in college mental health before obtaining her current position in the CSU Office of the Chancellor. She held previous positions as counselor faculty at CSULB and CSUF and served as the Counseling Center Director at CSUSB prior to joining the Chancellor’s Office. In her current role she provides support to the 22 CSU university’s student health centers\, counseling centers\, survivor advocates\, behavioral intervention teams\, alcohol and other drugs stakeholder group\, basic needs initiatives\, and the Pregnant and Parenting Students Initiative. Dr. O’Keefe has worked in higher education for over 35 years\, and in 2026 she was recognized by the Cal State Student Association as Administrator of the Year. \nDescription:\nThis presentation provides practical guidance for recognizing signs of distress and responding with care\, clarity\, and appropriate support. Participants will learn how to identify behavioral\, emotional\, and situational indicators that someone may be struggling\, engage in supportive conversations\, reduce stigma\, and connect individuals to relevant resources. Her research focuses on equity\, identity\, belonging\, and resistance in higher education for marginalized and diverse groups.
