SUMMARY:Recognizing the Impact of World Events on the Workplace | CSU CCC
DESCRIPTION:Location: Online via Zoom; Connection details provided upon registration\n\nDescription:\nOne of the many ways workplaces can be more inclusive and create a sense of belonging is by recognizing the impact of world events on people’s lives and work. This is especially important in diverse teams (which all of our teams are) because something that is deeply impactful for one person may barely register with another. At the same time\, it can be challenging to keep up with the seemingly constant stream of news\, disasters\, and troubling events that happen on a daily basis. This session will discuss the pro-active measures people and teams can take to be supportive and identify strategies and resources to mobilize if and when people on our team are impacted. \nFacilitated by:\nConor McLaughlin \nRegistration:\nCSUN Faculty & Staff – To register for this Workshop/Session: \n\nWhen ready\, select the CSU Learn button below.\nLog into CSU Learn with your CSUN Portal credentials.\nSelect the “Register” button.\nClick on the bullet next to the CSUN HR icon\, and select “Submit” to enroll in this session.\n\nCSU Learn\n \nIf a reasonable accommodation is needed\, please contact L&D@ calstate.edu in advance (minimum of 72 hours is requested) and we will connect you with the workshop facilitator.. \nWithdraw from Session: If you need to cancel your registration\, select the “Self” icon in CSU Learn.  Select “Learning\,” then “Registrations.”  Select the box next to the session you need to cancel\, and select “Cancel Registration.”  In the next window\, select “Confirm Cancellation.” \n\nThis session is offered by San Diego State University in a Professional & Personal Development Cross Campus Collaboration program.  Colleagues attending this session may hail from the Chancellor’s Office\, Bakersfield\, Channel Islands\, Chico\, East Bay\, Fresno\, Fullerton\, Humboldt\, Long Beach\, Monterey Bay\,  Pomona\, Sacramento\, San Bernardino\, San Diego\, San Francisco\, San Luis Obispo\, San Marcos\, Sonoma\, and Stanislaus. \nReturn to CSUN’s Professional & Personal Development Training Calendar at: https://www.csun.edu/development/training. \nTo view a complete accessible listing of Spring 2025 programming\, select the image below.
