DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Dr. Deniz Marti \nDescription: Part I introduces the pedagogical foundations for teaching in an AI-rich learning environment. Participants will explore how students are currently using AI tools and why attempts to ban AI often fail. The session will also examine the concept of cognitive erosion and discuss how poorly designed assignments can unintentionally encourage\nstudents to outsource thinking. \nParticipants will learn practical principles for AI-integrated pedagogy\, including how to design assignments that require reasoning\, critique\, and reflection rather than simply asking students to produce outputs. \nWhat you’ll leave this workshop with:\n• Principles of AI-integrated pedagogy\n• Practical ways to integrate AI into active learning\n• Ideas for using AI to support critical thinking and metacognition \n\nJoin the event on Zoom\n*You will need to be signed into Zoom with your csun.edu or my.csun.edu email address to join. \n**If you are signed into the Zoom app with a different account\, log out of Zoom\, and select the Single Sign-On (SSO) button near the bottom.
