Having a single deadline is kind of new; it started with fall 2024 registration. \nNoteworthy:\n\nThere are no longer three payment deadlines based on when you enrolled in classes. It’s called “late” because classes have started\, but even after classes begin\, you can adjust your schedule using online\, self-service registration. It’s perfectly fine! \nYou may add\, drop and swap classes\, and change the basis of grading online\, but what you can do depends on which week of classes we’re in. \n1st Week of Classes\nStarting with the first week of classes\, Jan. 21 through 26: \n\nWait listing is available through Sunday\, Jan. 26\, 11:59 pm.\nNo permission is required to add classes except for restricted classes\, which always require permission.\nThe maximum load remains 18 units. Check unit load exceptions.\nRepeating courses is permitted (started Dec. 12).\nProrated refunds begin. Find refund information.\n\n2nd to 4th Week of Classes\nStarting with the second through the fourth week of classes\, Jan. 27 through Feb. 16: \n\nWait listing is no longer available.\nPermission numbers are required to add ALL classes.\nThe last day to qualify for a partial refund due to a drop in academic load below 6.1 units is Friday\, Feb. 7.\nThe last day to drop or change grading basis using self-service registration is Sunday\, Feb. 16.\nMake every effort to finalize your schedule by Feb. 16 (“end” of the fourth week)\, when recorded enrollments are considered official.\n\nAfter the 4th Week\nAfter the fourth week\, formal approval is required to drop classes or change the grading basis. SUMMARY:Pachucxs Revisited
DESCRIPTION:January 21 – March 15\, 2025\nReception: January 30\, 2025 from 5:00-7:30pm\nPachucxs Revisited is a transgenerational celebration of the iconic Pachuca\, a contested figure that disrupted tradition and gender expectations. The exhibition features ten diverse female-identified and non-binary artists\, saluting the ever-evolving and lavish symbol – La Pachuca. The invited artists’ practices challenge social\, gender\, and cultural conventions\, defying ageism and amplifying cross-generational defiance and resistance to oppressions that individuals assigned as females at birth and women-identified continue to face. The exhibition highlights the complicated gender politics that structure and reflect the lives of women lowriders today through the work of contemporary artists and designers\, which includes painting\, photography\, mixed media\, and fashion. The exhibition artists’ works center the bodies of Chicanas/Latinas within lowrider culture and celebrate women-created spaces within lowrider communities which are anchored in self-love\, empowerment\, and unity. \n \nCurated by Dr. Denise M.
