View Winter Term courses in Class Search and filter the learning mode by choosing “no set meeting days or times.” \nWinter Term offers regular CSUN courses fully online through CSUN’s Tseng College of Extended Learning. Courses are offered on a self-support basis at a per-unit fee. \nWinter Session Highlights \n\nComplete coursework at an accelerated pace.\nEarn up to four transferrable units.\nNo registration appointment is required.\nCourses are held fully online. No trips to campus are required.*\n\n*Exception: A few on-campus specialty classes may be offered through the Office of Student Success. \nImportant Winter Session Dates \n\nThe last day to add a class online without permission is Wednesday\, Dec. 30\, 2026.\nLast day to add a class online with a permission number is Thursday\, Dec. 31.\nLast day to drop a class online is Thursday\, Dec. 31. DESCRIPTION:Guest Artist\, Kirill Gliadkovsky\, piano\nFriday February 5th 2027\, at 7:30 PM\, Shigemi Matsumoto Recital Hall \n \n  \nProgram TBA \nDr. Kirill Gliadkovsky was born in Moscow and has studied music since the age of 5. He attended the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow – the most prestigious music institution in Russia – where his teachers included renowned musicians Lev Vlasenko\, Mikhail Pletniev (piano) and Leonid Royzman (organ). \nMr. Gliadkovsky earned both his Master’s and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees at the University of Southern California with Professors Daniel Pollack (piano)\, Cherry Rhodes (organ)\, and William Schaefer (conducting). Mr. Gliadkovsky is an orchestra and choral conductor\, as well. He composes for piano and organ and has premiered his works in Russia and in the USA. He also performs in a duo piano team with his wife Anna Gliadkovskaya and his sister\, Ekaterina. \nCurrently\, Mr. Gliadkovsky combines his busy concert schedule with teaching at the University of Southern California and Santa Monica College\, where he is on the piano faculty. DESCRIPTION:Faculty Artist\, Jason Stoll\, piano\nwith Guest Artist\, Micah Wright\, clarinet\nSaturday February 6th\, 2027 at 4:00 PM\, Shigemi Matsumoto Recital Hall \n  \nProgram TBA \n  \nBIOGRAPHIES \nDr. Micah Wright is a versatile artist\, performer\, and educator based in Southern California. Dr. Wright has received several national and international musical awards and given solo\, chamber\, and orchestral performances throughout the United States. He is the winner of the 2016 Frances Walton Competition\, 2nd prize winner in the 2017 Backun International Clarinet Competition\, and a finalist in the International Clarinet Association’s Young Artist Competition\, Chamber Music Northwest International Young Artist Competition\, and William C. Byrd International Young Artist Competition. Known for his unique programming\, Dr. Wright frequently performs his own arrangements\, has premiered many contemporary works\, is comfortable performing in a wide variety of genres and instruments\, and is an active member of several active chamber ensembles. In 2018 and 2023\, he was featured as a soloist by the Beverly Hills National Auditions\, performing on both clarinet and piano. Dr. Wright maintains a diverse teaching schedule and is on faculty at California Lutheran University\, Citrus College\, Pierce College\, Pasadena Conservatory\, Kadima Conservatory\, and California State Summer School for the Arts. He graduated with academic honors from USC Thornton (D.M.A.\, 2015)\, Rice University’s Shepherd School (M.M. 2012)\, and Drake University (B.M. 2009) where he studied clarinet with Michele Zukovsky\, Yehuda Gilad\, Richie Hawley\, Dr. Michael Webster\, and Clarence Padilla \nSouthern Californian pianist\, Jason Stoll\, enjoys a multifaceted career as concerto soloist\, recitalist\, chamber musician\, educator\, and collaborative artist. Past concert highlights include giving the U.S. premiere of Benjamin Britten’s Rondo Concertante for piano and strings\, a number of solo recitals and chamber music throughout his native California\, nationally\, and internationally\, and numerous orchestral appearances incuding the Santa Monica Symphony\, North Charleston Pops\, Miami Music Festival Orchestra\, and the Midland-Odessa Symphony  just to name a few. \nMr. Stoll holds degrees from California State University\, Northridge\, the Juilliard School\, and the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Additionally\, Mr. Stoll has attended several prestigious summer music festivals including the Miami Music Festival\, Pianofest in the Hamptons\, Aspen Music Festival\, and the Adamant Music School. \nCurrently\, Mr. Stoll is a piano instructor and lecturer at California State University\, Northridge\, Los Angeles Pierce College\, and is also a freelance pianist\, masterclass presenter and adjudicator throughout the Los Angeles area. \nParking via Kiosks in Lot B1 \nTICKETS: $10 to $22 (plus $2 fee per ticket)
