This concert features a fantastic piece for violin and clarinet by Minnesota composer\, Libby Larsen titled “A Tarantella for Our Times” performed by CSUN’s own faculty members\, Lorenz Gamma and Julia Heinen. In addition\, there are winning compositions by TEMPO’s annual Call for Scores. Featured will be Dayton Hare — ebb\, flow; Anthony Iannaccone — White Water; Richard Derby — Pick a Low Note; Kolten Heeren — Scherzo; Oswald Huỳnh — Memory revises me; Luca Pasquini — Contour Intervals; and Jessica Lee — What Flickered Between the Reveries?   Please join us for an evening of celebrating new music! \nTEMPO (The Epicenter Music Performance Organization)\, dedicated to the pursuit\, performance\, and perseverance of contemporary music\, was formed in 2008 at California State University\, Northridge by Daniel Kessner and Julia Heinen. This ground-breaking ensemble seeks to promote and celebrate the rich diversity of our world through the performance of contemporary musical stories. \nIn 2026-2027 TEMPO celebrates its 18th season of bringing contemporary music to the world.  In addition to programming established contemporary works\,  it also hosts an annual “Call for Scores\,” selecting several works to feature each season.\n\nOur 18th season will feature in Spring 2027\, the 100th birthday celebration of CSUN Professor Emeritus of Composition\, Frank Campo. In addition to performing several of Frank’s works\, we also will be joined by guest artist violinist\, Darius Campo\, Frank’s son. In this course you will gain an understanding of the types of fraud that occur at colleges and universities. Many of our campuses have been victims of fraud from internal and external perpetrators. While the internet and computers have made some aspects of our work easier\, they have also opened up new methods\, such as phishing\, for fraudsters to exploit. DESCRIPTION:Description:  CSUN has a new pair of software tools that will improve the accessibility of many PDFs: the CSU PDF Accessibility Remediation tool and the Canvas Course Accessibility Report. This workshop will walk you through a three-step approach using these tools plus your subject matter expertise to rapidly make your course materials more accessible. We’ll start with a quick introduction to accessibility for PDFs\, make sure you are comfortable using both tools\, and demonstrate the important role you play (step 2). We’ll conclude by reviewing campus resources for additional support with PDFs. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nUnderstand what makes a PDF “accessible” and how to check.\nLearn how to use the two key software tools.\nFamiliarity with the limitations of this method and where expert human review and adjustments may be needed.\nKnow where to get support with the two tools and with PDFs that need additional work.\n\nRecommended Attendees: Faculty\, Academic Support Staff. \nLocation: Virtual event \n\nThese trainings are only available to CSUN employees. You must sign up more than one hour prior to the start of the workshop. \nYou may input your desired date.
