DESCRIPTION:This talk and screening will uplift the theory and practice of Jineology\, the Kurdish Women’s Liberation movement. \nHamoun Dolatshahi is a Kurdish-Iranian filmmaker and founder/CEO of Zagros Film LLC\, a Los Angeles-based studio focused on bold\, socially driven storytelling for film and television. Born in Kermanshah\, Iran\, he came to the U.S. as a refugee in 2010\, and his work explores identity\, migration\, and cultural experience in the diaspora. He holds a BA from UC San Diego and an MFA in Directing and Producing from UCLA. His credits include short films\, music videos\, and work as a producer and assistant director on numerous projects\, including the A24/Netflix series \nBEEF.
