He leads Chico State’s Financial Wellness Clinic\, which provides pro-bono financial guidance while creating supervised experiential learning opportunities for finance and financial planning students. He created and registered Chico State’s Financial Planning Certificate\, helped develop one of the nation’s few online self-paced CFP Board Registered Programs\, and advises Chico Creek Capital\, the university’s Student Managed Investment Fund. His work has secured more than $500\,000 in grant funding and helped expand financial wellness programming across multiple CSU campuses. His work focuses on financial wellness\, student support\, financial planning education\, applied learning\, and scalable program development in higher education. \nDescription:\nAn institutional ecosystem consists of interconnected people\, processes\, and systems that fundamentally shape students’ college pathways and success. This session explores how students\, staff\, and faculty experience and influence that ecosystem in their daily work. Community building can also foster team cohesion. Each member of a team can play a role in contributing to the community and creating a sense of belonging in their workplaces. In this workshop we will discuss the importance of belonging\, explore strategies for implementing belonging at work\, and examine the various -isms\, microaggressions\, and biases that detract from people’s belonging in workplaces. \nAll CIE programs aim to build equitable and inclusive community spaces for learning\, often while simultaneously addressing issues that can be sensitive and/or challenging. DESCRIPTION:Description:  CSUN has a new pair of software tools that will improve the accessibility of many PDFs: the CSU PDF Accessibility Remediation tool and the Canvas Course Accessibility Report. This workshop will walk you through a three-step approach using these tools plus your subject matter expertise to rapidly make your course materials more accessible. We’ll start with a quick introduction to accessibility for PDFs\, make sure you are comfortable using both tools\, and demonstrate the important role you play (step 2).
