DESCRIPTION:The CSUN campus will be closed for Winter Recess from Tuesday\, Dec. 24\, 2024\, to Wednesday\, Jan. 1\, 2025. \nThe last official day of the fall 2024 semester is Monday\, Dec. 23\, 2024. Offices will be closed Tuesday\, Dec. 24\, so please plan ahead. \nDuring the recess and into January\, Winter Term 2025 fully-online courses are offered through the Tseng College self-support\, extension Open University Program. Winter classes begin Dec. 23; no trips to campus are required. Visit Tseng College Winter Term Calendar for more information. \nNoteworthy:\n\nThe CSUN University Library is always available online.\nSome CSUN facilities are often open special hours during winter recess. DESCRIPTION:Monday\, Jan. 13\, 2025\, is the deadline to pay tuition and other fees for spring 2025 classes when you enroll between Nov. 4\, 2024\, and Jan. 13\, 2025. Having a single deadline is kind of new; it started with fall 2024 registration. \nNoteworthy:\n\nThere are no longer three payment deadlines based on when you enrolled in classes. There’s only one!\nPayment is always due at the time of enrollment\, but you have until Jan. 13\, 2025\, to pay for spring classes.\nIf payment is not received by Jan. 13\, you may be disenrolled from your classes on Jan. 14.\nIf you add classes after Jan. 13\, payment is due immediately upon registration.\n\nFor more information\, visit: \n\nPayment Due Dates\nHow to Pay Your Fees\nUniversity Cash Services/Student Finance\n\nImportant!\nBe sure to officially withdraw from any and all classes you will not attend. It’s called “late” because classes have started\, but even after classes begin\, you can adjust your schedule using online\, self-service registration. It’s perfectly fine! \nYou may add\, drop and swap classes\, and change the basis of grading online\, but what you can do depends on which week of classes we’re in. \n1st Week of Classes\nStarting with the first week of classes\, Jan. 21 through 26: \n\nWait listing is available through Sunday\, Jan. 26\, 11:59 pm.\nNo permission is required to add classes except for restricted classes\, which always require permission.\nThe maximum load remains 18 units. Check unit load exceptions.\nRepeating courses is permitted (started Dec. 12).\nProrated refunds begin. Find refund information.\n\n2nd to 4th Week of Classes\nStarting with the second through the fourth week of classes\, Jan. 27 through Feb. 16: \n\nWait listing is no longer available.\nPermission numbers are required to add ALL classes.\nThe last day to qualify for a partial refund due to a drop in academic load below 6.1 units is Friday\, Feb. 7.\nThe last day to drop or change grading basis using self-service registration is Sunday\, Feb. 16.\nMake every effort to finalize your schedule by Feb. 16 (“end” of the fourth week)\, when recorded enrollments are considered official.\n\nAfter the 4th Week\nAfter the fourth week\, formal approval is required to drop classes or change the grading basis.
