Please finalize your schedule by the end of this week (i.e\, no later than Sept. 20)\, when your schedule of enrolled classes is considered official. \n\nSept. 11: Last day to drop online\, graduate students\, fall 2026\nSept 20: Last day to drop online\, undergraduates and second bachelor’s\, fall 2026\n\nAfter the above dates\, formal approval is required to drop one or more classes (or change the grading basis for undergraduate students).  Please refer to Fifth Week of Classes\, Fall 2026. \nYou may continue to add a class online with a permission number from the instructor or academic department offering the course. \n*Before dropping\, please be aware of the potential impact of reducing the number of enrolled units!

DESCRIPTION:The fifth week of classes begins Monday\, Sept. 21\, 2026. \n\nYour academic schedule is considered official by the end of the fourth week of classes.\nIn the fifth week and after\, withdrawing from one or more classes or changing the basis of grading are possible only for serious and compelling reasons. Formal approval is required.\n\nTo Drop a Class in Week 5 and On:\nTo drop* classes or completely withdraw from the university\, do the following beginning Sept. 21: \n\nRequest formal approval using the appropriate Late Schedule Change forms.\nFind medical withdrawal information including a general timeline and procedures.\nVisit the University Cash Services website for refund information and eligibility.\nDrop classes you no longer want to avoid a failing grade and more. See University Withdrawal Policies.\n\n*Before dropping\, review the precautions for reducing the number of enrolled units and its potential impact on financial aid and  Satisfactory Academic Progress\, veterans education benefits\, international student visa status\, campus housing and more. \nTo Add a Class in Weeks 5 through 12:\nTo add a class from Sept. 21 through Nov. 13: \n\nRequest a permission number from the instructor and enroll using self-service registration.\nThe last day to add with permission through self-service is Friday\, Nov. 13 (end of Week 12).\nAdding classes after Sept. 20 will not increase your financial aid award.
