SUMMARY:Tuition and Fees Payment Deadline\, Fall 2025
DESCRIPTION:Monday\, Aug. 18\, 2025\, is the deadline to pay tuition and other fees for fall 2025 classes when you enroll between April 1 and August 18\, 2025. Having a single deadline is kind of new; it started with fall 2024 registration. \nNoteworthy:\n\nThere are no longer three payment deadlines based on when you enrolled in classes. There’s only one!\nPayment is always due at the time of enrollment\, but you have until Aug. 18\, 2025\, to pay for fall classes.\nIf payment is not received by Aug. 18\, you may be disenrolled from your classes on Aug. 19.*\nIf you add classes after Aug. 18\, payment is due immediately upon registration.\n\n*If you are a financial aid recipient and have submitted all your documents\, you will be protected from disenrollment. DESCRIPTION:Late Registration and Schedule Adjustment begin Monday\, Aug. 25\, 2025. It’s called “late” because classes have started\, but even after classes begin\, you can adjust your schedule using online\, self-service registration. It’s perfectly fine! \nYou may add\, drop and swap classes\, and change the basis of grading online\, but what it depends on which week of classes we’re in. \n1st Week of Classes\nStarting with the first week of classes\, Aug. 25 through Sept. 1\, 2025: \n\nWait-listing is available through Monday\, Sept. 1\, 11:59 p.m.\, the Labor Day holiday.\nNo permission is required to add classes except for restricted classes\, which always require permission.\nThe maximum load is 18 units for undergraduates and 16 units for graduate students. Check unit load exceptions.\nRepeating courses is permitted (started July 2).\nProrated refunds begin. Find refund information.\n\n2nd to 4th Week of Classes\nStarting with the second through the fourth week of classes\, Sept. 2 through Nov. 14: \n\nWait-listing is no longer available.\nPermission numbers are required to add ALL classes.\nThe last day to qualify for a partial refund due to a drop in academic load below 6.1 units is Friday\, Sept. 12.\nThe last day for graduate students to drop classes online is Friday\, Sept. 12.\nThe last day for undergraduates to drop or change grading basis using self-service registration is Sunday\, Sept. 21.\n\nPlease make every effort to finalize your schedule by Sept. 21\, the end of the fourth week\, when recorded enrollments are considered official. \nDropping After the 3rd or 4th Week\nFormal approval is required to drop classes as follows: \n\nGraduate students: After the third week\, formal approval is required to drop one or more classes. Visit Graduate Student Forms and select “Late Change in Academic Schedule.”\nUndergraduate students: After the fourth week\, formal approval is required to drop classes or change the grading basis.
