DESCRIPTION:From Here to Career (FHTC) is CSUN’s career readiness program designed to help on-campus student employees turn their campus jobs into real-world career preparation. Through guided learning\, mentorship\, and alumni connections\, FHTC helps students build the professional skills employers are looking for—while supporting supervisors in developing confident\, career-ready student assistants. \nIn this program\, you’ll learn how to: \n\n\nApply career fundamentals directly to your on-campus job \n\n\nBuild transferable skills through a self-paced online Canvas course \n\n\nConnect with peer mentors and a designated Career Center advisor \n\n\nLearn from CSUN alumni who once worked as student assistants \n\n\nReflect on your growth through monthly check-ins with your supervisor \n\n\nThe program follows a semester-based model and requires a minimal time commitment—about one hour per month—making it easy to balance with work and academics. Students who complete the program earn a Canvas E-Badge for their résumé and LinkedIn profile and are recognized at the Career Center’s End-of-Year Celebration.
