AI Basics: Getting Started with Tools, Teaching Strategies, and Responsible Use

Description: Build a strong foundation in generative AI with an introduction to the tools and strategies that can support teaching and learning. In this workshop, you’ll explore ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and effective prompting techniques while learning how to use AI responsibly within a CSUN-supported environment. We’ll also discuss AI syllabus statement considerations, ethical use, and practical ways to incorporate AI into course design, content creation, and everyday instructional tasks.
