Nonrestrictive Registration, Summer 2026

Nonrestrictive Registration for all three summer sessions begins Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Add, wait-list for closed classes, drop or otherwise adjust your schedule through the CSUN Portal using the online self-service registration system. For help, visit the Enroll in Summer Classes How-To Guide.

• No appointment is needed.
• Repeating courses previously taken at CSUN is permitted.
• Visiting non-matriculated* students may enroll with a permission number beginning April 1.

The end of Nonrestrictive Registration varies by session:

• Summer Sessions 1 and 2: Nonrestrictive Registration ends May 25, 2026.
• Summer Session 3: Nonrestrictive Registration ends July 7.

• Visiting students: Tseng College Open University (enroll on a self-support basis).

*A matriculated CSUN student has been admitted to the university and is enrolled in a CSUN degree or certificate program. Visiting students are not matriculated.
