Nonrestrictive Registration Begins, Fall 2025

Nonrestrictive Registration for fall 2025 classes begins Wednesday, July 2, 2025. No appointment is required for matriculated CSUN students.

• Matriculated students are enrolled in CSUN degree or university certificate programs.
• Nonmatriculated students enrolling through the Tseng College (extension), please visit Open University.

If you haven’t met with your academic advisor yet, make it a priority now:

• Undergraduate student advising
• Graduate student advising

About Nonrestrictive Registration

During Nonrestrictive Registration, you can:

• Repeat courses previously taken at CSUN. Check with your advisor first.
• Add open classes without permission (restricted classes always require permission).
• Wait-list for closed classes — up to 13 units.
• Nonrestrictive Registration ends Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025, the day before weekday classes begin.
