Activities include:
Art
8 a.m. to 3 pm. | Art and Design Center — Visit the Art and Design Center for self-guided studio tours, including animation, ceramics, communication design, drawing, illustration, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture. Program representatives will be available for discussion.
8 to 10 a.m. — Academic advisement with department faculty.
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Free friends and family studio portraits.
Noon to 3 p.m. — Make art with the Kalli Arte Collective, CSUN’s Orndorff Artists-in-Residence, and visit the opening reception of this year’s High School Invitational art show.
Cinema and Television Arts
8 to 10 a.m. | Manzanita Hall 194 and 195 — Meet and greet with the department chair.
9 a.m. | 10 a.m. | 1 p.m. | 2 p.m. | (45 mins.) Manzanita Hall 195
Facility tours, including television studios, the LED wall, the master control booth, sound labs and the green screen virtual production studio.
11 a.m. | 12:30 p.m. (75 mins.) — Presentations outlining each of the options within the major, Manzanita Hall 100 (Armer Screening Room).
2 to 3 p.m. — Revisit favorite tour stops for a Q&A with department faculty.
Communication Studies
8:30 a.m. | 9:20 a.m. (40 mins.) — Information sessions with faculty, current students and academic advisors, Manzanita Hall 240 (Aronstram Library).
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Connect with the Department of Communication Studies at the information table on the second floor of Manzanita Hall.
Journalism
8:30 a.m. | 9:20 a.m. (40 mins.) — Panel discussions with current students, Manzanita Hall 213.
