Meet The Guest Speaker
David Ortega,
Recruiter, West Region – City Year
David Ortega (they/he) is a people-centered, community-driven recruiter with City Year. In this role, they collaborate with universities, and student and campus organizations to support City Year’s mission of bridging gaps in educational equity. After earning their English degree from UC Davis as a first-generation and transfer student, they began working in college access with high school students. They bring their experience as a first-generation student and professional and their work as an educator to all spaces to support current students with navigating post-graduation opportunities, equipping them with personal and professional tools to create their path to success.
