Essence Wilson, USC PhD candidate, in Communication, Health Communication
Essence Lynn Wilson is a digital health equity scholar interested in combatting health disparities in communities of youth of color. Meeting for this call, she aims to utilize community-based participatory research to develop digital health interventions, employing an egalitarian approach in all research stages, including development, testing, and implementation processes. While numerous digital modalities aid in conveying critical health information, she is particularly drawn to the potential of animation as a transformative tool to express or enhance intervention infrastructure. This medium has historically and effectively reached and engaged diverse audiences since its conception, deserving great attention in health research. She is a proud CSU Northridge alumnus and a lecturer for their Psychology Department.
Cristina Bernstein, Career and Professional Development Associate
Cristina is a proud CSUN alumna and San Fernando Valley native. Prior to joining CSUN, Cristina worked at The Los Angeles Film School as an Industry Outreach Team Lead in their Career Development Department. She is excited to provide career and professional development support to CSUN alums and students across all stages of their careers.
