Honoring Self: Self-Care as Liberation

February 10 at 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm

Black History Month 2026 Featured Image

The conversation examines how honoring self—through self-discovery, self-understanding, and advocacy—has long served as a form of liberation and resistance. As personal and professional spaces increasingly blur amid today’s political, social, and economic climate, panelists will reflect on how reclaiming care and agency can restore, reaffirm, and sustain their lives. This panel is intended for students, faculty, staff, and community members interested in Black history, wellness, social justice, and cultural sustainability—particularly those navigating the intersections of identity, labor, and care.
