Summer Term 2026 classes are not in session from Friday through Sunday, June 19 to 21, 2026, and CSUN offices are closed in commemoration of the Juneteenth National Independence Day. It is the newest national holiday.
Juneteenth — also known as Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, Black Independence Day — commemorates the anniversary of the order proclaiming the ending of slavery in the U.S. that was delivered in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865. Read more about Juneteenth.
