From Here to Career (FHTC) is CSUN’s career readiness program designed to help on-campus student employees turn their campus jobs into real-world career preparation. Through guided learning, mentorship, and alumni connections, FHTC helps students build the professional skills employers are looking for—while supporting supervisors in developing confident, career-ready student assistants.
In this program, you’ll learn how to:

Connect with peer mentors and a designated Career Center advisor

Learn from CSUN alumni who once worked as student assistants

Reflect on your growth through monthly check-ins with your supervisor
The program follows a semester-based model and requires a minimal time commitment—about one hour per month—making it easy to balance with work and academics. Students who complete the program earn a Canvas E-Badge for their résumé and LinkedIn profile and are recognized at the Career Center’s End-of-Year Celebration. Supervisors can also participate in the Career Champions E-Badge Program.
