CSUN Cinematheque’s Spring 2025 series “Sacred and Profane: The Surreal Cinema of Luìs Buñuel” presents a free screening of Nazarín (1959), a Mexican satirical drama film co-written by Buñuel and Julio Alejandro, adapted from the eponymous novel of Benito Pérez Galdós. The film received the international prize at the 1959 Cannes Film Festival. Cinematheque screenings are held Wednesdays weekly at the Armer Screening Room in Manzanita Hall, and admission is free to all, no RSVP required.
