CSUN Cinematheque’s Spring 2025 series “Sacred and Profane: The Surreal Cinema of Luìs Buñuel” presents free screenings of Los Olvidados (1950), a social-realist drama about teens who turn to crime to overcome poverty, and Un Chien Andalou (1929), a French silent short film directed, produced, and edited by Luis Buñuel, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Salvador Dalí. Cinematheque screenings are held Wednesdays weekly at the Armer Screening Room in Manzanita Hall, and admission is free to all, no RSVP required.
