CSUN Cinematheque’s Spring 2025 series “Sacred and Profane: The Surreal Cinema of Luìs Buñuel” presents a free screening of Exterminating Angel (1962), a Mexican surrealist black comedy about the chaos that ensures when guests are not permitted to leave a lavish dinner party. In 2004, The New York Times included the film in a list of “The Best 1,000 Movies Ever Made.” Cinematheque screenings are held Wednesdays weekly at the Armer Screening Room in Manzanita Hall, and admission is free to all, no RSVP required.
