Dr. Robinson Cecil Elected as Fellow of the Geological Society of America

Join us in congratulating Dr. Robinson Cecil as a new Fellow of the Geological Society of America! The Council of the Geological Society of America elected Dr. Robinson Cecil, Associate Professor of Geology, as a Fellow of the GSA during the May 2024 election. Fellows are nominated by other society members and are elected as recognition of their important contributions to the geosciences and their efforts to further the mission of the GSA.

“Dr. Robinson Cecil has made outstanding contributions to the study of the gensis and tempos of Cordilleran batholiths and magmatism related to subduction initiation. Her dedication to GSA includes convening technical sessions, participating in critical committees, and, together with her studetns, attending and presenting research at our meetings.”
