Nazarian College Hosts Industry Night to Connect Students with Employers
More than 500 students recently participated in Industry Night, a bi-annual event hosted by Nazarian College’s Career Education and Professional Development Center that connects students with potential employers. A total of 419 students registered and 85 attended as walk-ins for the event, eager to explore career opportunities and network with regional and local business leaders.
The event, which took place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Feb. 12 at CSUN’s USU Northridge Center, featured over 40 employers with 99 representatives from companies including Bank of Hope, Burlington Stores, Chick-fil-A Northridge, D. Law, Enterprise Mobility, Gelfand Rennert & Feldman LLC, Haas Automation Inc., PepsiCo – Frito-Lay, Universal Studios Hollywood, and Wedbush Securities Inc. These industry leaders engaged with students and provided insights into their organizations and career opportunities.
In addition to networking, 87 students took advantage of free professional headshots to enhance their online presence. Danielle Rodriguez, programs manager for CEPD, says Industry Night is one way that Nazarian College fosters career readiness and helps bridge the gap between students and employers.
“Industry Night provides an incredible opportunity for students to connect with professionals and explore career paths,” said Danielle Rodriguez, programs manager for the Career Education and Professional Development Center. “We’ve seen firsthand how these connections lead to real opportunities — one example being a student attendee who secured an internship at Disney, which turned into a full-time job. Events like this truly showcase the power of networking and the impact they can have on students’ futures.”
