For our final faculty workshop, we’re going to try something different! Instead of meeting in the Whitsett Room, Andy and Alby will be recording their discussion on how to plan and present your project’s impact in the Psychology Podcast space. We will also be live on Zoom starting at 3:45 pm if you want to join us and submit any questions.
This semester, we have been discussing strategic fund seeking and where to find financial support for our work. But as many turn their attention to private and foundation funding, it becomes more critical that we effectively communicating how our work aligns with the impact funders want to make in the world. Therefore, Andy will share insight and tips for preparing a strong evaluation plan. We’ll be demonstrating the power of logic models as a road map not only for evaluation but also the timeline and budget of your project. The workshop will be posted to the college YouTube page afterwards.
Before providing support, funders and partners want to assess the impact you’ve had or are expecting to make with your project. After funding your project, they want to be shown their investment was worthwhile. In this session, participants will learn how to create a logic model and design a robust evaluation plan. Learn how to assess the data you need and how to collect it. These tools provide another way to align your project design to your funder’s priorities by connecting the details from beginning to end. While not necessary, participants are encouraged to come with a project in mind so we can work through the process together.
Each session will be introduced and moderated by Alby Luchko, Contracts, Grants & Research Development Officer for CSBS. Everyone is welcome including students and staff!
